CNN is running a story with the headline "Critics slam Microsoft bridge as waste of stimulus money".
Microsoft is planning on using their stimulus money totaling $11M for a construction project bridging 2 campuses separated by a highway. This project will create just under 1400 jobs in the 18 months slated to finish in.
First off, the critics need to look at what they're bashing - Microsoft is getting free money that I'm almost positive it did not ask for. Microsoft could fart out $11M about every second of the day and still remain in their state of no debt.
If Microsoft swaps the money into some "more worthy project" then they would use the same money from its own wallet for this bridge.
The critics should do some research before they bitch and moan sometimes.
Hey - if I use some tax break money the government gives me to buy some big screen TV rather than pay off a credit card, are the other tax payers going to moan about that?
This is a re-post from the main site.
